Our Story

Skinny Pig Interiors was founded in 2021 by lifelong friends Hannah and Meghann, brought together by a shared love of interior design, quirky home décor and unusual home accessories.

 

From the very beginning, the idea behind Skinny Pig was simple: to find the pieces that make a home feel more individual. The kind of bold, playful and unexpected homeware that makes people stop, smile and ask, “Where did you get that?”

 

Our collections are carefully chosen for people who prefer interiors with personality. From unusual animal décor and statement wall pieces to colourful accessories, decorative objects and eclectic finishing touches, we look for products that feel a little different from the ordinary.

A love of interiors and good design

Our passion for interiors comes from a genuine belief that the spaces around us can have a huge impact on how we feel.

 

A well-designed home doesn’t have to mean following rules or filling every room with expensive furniture. Sometimes it’s the smaller details – an unusual ornament, a striking wall decoration, a colourful vase or something completely unexpected – that bring a room to life.

 

We love helping customers discover unique home décor and statement accessories that give their spaces character, humour and individuality.

 

Our backgrounds

Hannah studied Spatial Design at Salford University before working in the Interiors Department of an architectural practice in Cape Town. She later worked as an Exhibition Designer before moving into marketing.

 

After many years in marketing, the pull back towards interiors became too strong to ignore, and Skinny Pig Interiors was born.

 

Meghann is a talented Fine Artist, Kitchen Designer and unofficial Interior Designer, with an instinctive eye for bold colours, unusual combinations and beautifully curated spaces.

 

Creativity also runs in the family – Meghann’s mum famously redesigned the Kellogg’s Cockerel many years ago, so perhaps it was inevitable!

Although Meghann stepped back from the business in summer 2024, Skinny Pig Interiors continues with the same spirit it started with: a love of good design, unusual interiors and naturally, the occasional glass of wine.

 

Today, Skinny Pig Interiors is an independent UK home décor shop specialising in quirky, colourful and unusual pieces designed to help you create a home that feels anything but ordinary.

 

We’re constantly searching for new finds, from quirky home accessories and statement décor to gifts and decorative pieces you’re unlikely to find on every high street.
